My Story

In time, I was called into ceremonial spaces. Plant and spirit medicines became my teachers and mirrors. They showed me that grief and joy often walk hand in hand. They taught me that forgiveness opens the door to true freedom. I came to understand that healing is not about fixing what is broken; it's about embracing what is whole. It is about embracing what is whole. It is about remembering what has always been whole.

Together with my husband, I co-founded Modern Kambo. We supported communities across the country through sacred medicine ceremonies and practitioner training. Our work is now rooted in Northern California, where we continue to create space for transformation, devotion, and truth.

Motherhood has been the most profound challenge I have known. I became a mother before I had fully healed. I had to learn how to soften, repair, and forgive myself in real-time. That journey opened my heart in ways no training ever could. It continues to shape how I hold space for others with honesty, gentleness, and a sense of presence.

During a powerful healing session, my spiritual teacher gave me the name Luzia, which means “the light.” At first, it felt unfamiliar. In time, I recognized it as the essence I have always carried. It was a sacred remembrance of who I was before the world told me otherwise.

Luzia is the light that lives in the quiet space between worlds. She is the still point between inhale and exhale, where all transitions are honored, and the truth is remembered.

I also honor Jill, the name I was given at birth. She is the one who walked through fire. She carried the weight and never stopped moving forward. Luzia is the light. Jill is the one who brought it here.

My soul’s gift is to walk beside others through the spaces in between. I hold space for healing, identity, purpose, and rebirth. I listen for what lives beneath the words. I stay with what is sacred until it begins to speak again.
